Worcester, MA January 31st 2010: Local magicians Tony Sherman and Dezrah the Strange (http://www.dezrah.com) have teamed up with the staff at The Q Arts Corporation (http://theq.bbnow.org) to create “M²” or “Mostly Magic”; a monthly showcase featuring up-and-coming magicians and variety performers from the Worcester area and beyond. The shows are happening on the last Sunday of every month in 2010 at The Q coffee shop on 362 Chandler St. in Worcester. The aim of M² is to give magicians and other variety performers a place to perform and gain experience while giving new audiences a chance to experience magic the way it’s meant to be, live, right in front of their faces.
The monthly series will be an hour long show featuring 4-5 magicians of all styles and experience levels. The kickoff show on Jan. 31st will have:
Mentalist and Mindreader Tony Sherman http://www.flutterbyfx.com/
Geek and Escape Artist Dezrah The Strange http://www.dezrah.com
The psychological entertainment of Jason Kallio http://www.sayitwithmagic.com/
Corporate entertainer and trainer Frank Damelio http://www.targetintellect.com/
The new and exciting magic of Joseph Straight
“Mostly Magic” aims to provide an outlet to promote and grow the magical arts as well as support the efforts of The Q Arts Corporation to establish a “community center for the arts”. In that vein, all performers are donating their time and the only cost to guests will be a $2 minimum donation to The Q. All proceeds will go towards The Q Arts Corporation.
